Memorial Day

We had so much fun this Memorial Day - just relaxing at the lake house and eating lots of great food! Griff had tons of fun playing in Poppa and Gigi's sprinkler and Jasper seemed to enjoy his first trip to the pool :)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom and Mom-in-Love!!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with all my boys this year. Ryan started things off right by treating me to Starbucks AND Cinnabon - breakfast heaven! Then I served in the church nursery and we spent the afternoon at the lake house, just relaxing and being pampered. I'm one blessed mama!

Blair's Baby Showers

What an exciting spring it's been in our house....weddings, babies, birthdays, and now I can add some lovely baby showers to the list!  The last two weekends, I've had the pleasure of attending (and helping a bit with) two baby showers for my sweet sister-in-love, Blair. They were beautiful events, and the mommy-to-be looked amazing. I can't wait to hold baby Graham when he gets here in July - yay for another boy!

The Nephew!

My very first nephew decided to make an early debut, surprising us all with a delivery two weeks early!  After a very long labor, my sister Heather and her husband Blake welcomed their first child into the world at 4:26pm, Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012. PARKER BLAKE HOLMAN is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen, with plump little lips, chubby round cheeks, and a tiny button nose.  He's just about the best thing a first-time auntie could ask for, and his cousins are going to LOVE having another boy to pal around with.  We're all so excited to welcome Parker to the family!

Parker Blake Holman

And we've already seen how thoughtful our new little guy is...he made sure his arrival didn't interfere with his Aunt Amy's wedding (five days ago) or his mommy's 30th birthday (which is today!). What an awesome present, right? As one of Heather's friends put it, bringing a sweet son into the world was one heck of a way to send off her twenties!  Happy Birthday, Aunt Heather - we love you and look forward to many May celebrations to come!

Ten Months Old

I feel like I was just posting Jasper's nine month update, and he's suddenly ten months old - how did that happen?? The little man is sporting four teeth these days (two on top, two on bottom), which means he's been experimenting with lots of new foods lately. He especially loves grabbing whatever he can off his picky-eater-big-brother's plate.

And we're seeing lots of J's personality too. He seems to love having a big brother to wrestle with and has a blast crawling up to Griff, and trying his best to tackle him at the ankles. It's hilarious to hear him giggle when he succeeds! We've actually noticed two different kinds of laughs our little guy has - one that's a sweet, I'm-so-ticklish giggle, and one that's more of a devious, I'm-trouble-and-I-know-it kind of chuckle.  Love that one!

Jasper's also babbling quite a bit, holding his own bottle (hallelujah!), crawling up a storm, and even experimenting with standing on his own and lunging forward in a very boyish attempt at walking. He's such a delight, and I can't wait to see what the next month brings!
